After watching several YouTubes (some of which add so much caution it might scare you away from trying) - I decided to order this kit.Fantastic from the start. Very easy to follow instructions. Heat gloves included really work! At first I was timid and took out of the microwave a little early but after a few pieces settled on about 8 minutes for my particular microwave. All pieces in photos were completed my first week. I like to call the bigger ones ‘glass puddles’. I’ll make into pendants later.A few things - despite advice to contrary I found my stained glass pieces worked great in kiln, I do have a glass grinder and it came in handy to smooth rough edges (although kit does come with pretty nice file)Was excited that kit included a free heart mold for frit - but unfortunately it just completely crumbled apart when trying to release first piece. That was disappointing but since the mold was a bonus I wasn’t expecting I’m not going to ding the business for that.Overall—very happy!Updated: added photo of pendants. The Millefiori glass included with the kit I received is defective. When it is used in a creation, it causes the finished piece to crack and break. I've used it on three pieces so far, two of them have broken in half just from normal handling, the third one has visible cracks so I am sure it will break soon.Aside from that, this microwave kiln makes it fun and easy to make your own fused glass necklace but not quite as easy as it sounds from the listing. Here are a couple of additional things you need to know before starting:1) The listing says "Fuse glass in your home normal microwave oven". It does not mention that it is NOT RECOMMENDED that you use this (or any) kiln in your everyday microwave. It is highly recommended that you have a second 1100 watt microwave due to fumes, etc.2) The directions say start at 6 minutes. If you are using an 1100 watt microwave like they recommend, this may be way too long. Start lower and work your way up. You can always re-fire a piece, you cannot un-fire it. I have found that 4 minutes is a good time if I want to retain some of the various shapes or 5 minutes if I want it all melted together. The shorter time is especially important if you are using dichroic glass, it will lose all of its color if it is heated too long.3) The colors of the provided glasses may change when fired. The light green I received turned bright yellow when fired. The one I thought was orange was actually a dark red. Be aware of this and plan your pieces accordingly.Overall this isn't a bad kit for a beginner but the useless Millefiori glass and the lack of information, especially about a dedicated microwave, prevent me from giving it more than 3 stars.?Used great with glass that came with it but ruined it using a broken glass gobletI've enjoyed learning very basic principles of glass fusing with this microwave kiln before I start shopping for a real kiln.Followed all instructions provided and it was a disaster. Spent over an hour designing and putting my piece together only for it turn into a great big blob and was stuck to the kiln. Took huge chunks out of it. Wasted money. Glass was great, gloves were good. This kiln set is an ideal introduction to fused glass work. We purchased this for our teen as a surprise gift. She loved it. It works exactly as promised and makes lovely jewelry and craft pieces. Please note that you should never use this in a microwave that you use for food. This has provided hours of crafting and gift making. We have had to purchase additional supplies when she has run out, but what a great activity for a teen.Having fun with this item. Learning curveProduct is as described and works, but the gloves are really good at been heat proof, I was super concerned about using them at first and went with oven mittens, but then tried using them and realized that daymn they are good gloves. The only tricky part is making sure that you've got a strong enough microwave, or if not compensate with a longer run time. 10 to 15 minutes is a good starting point, if it takes more then 25, then the microwave (or something else like the material used) is not right.Llego tal gual la imagenHaven't used yet but looks like picture and arrived on time
