As shown in one of the photos I have done some serious chopping on this cart and it holds up well. I am 5-10 1/2 and with the wheels installed it is a perfect height for me to work at. The wheels really don’t need to be installed at all if you want to leave it in one place. The cart moves a little even with the wheels locked but I remedied that as shown by banking it against my kitchen wall. Using a couple of door stops would do the same probably. I live in New York City and have a kitchen with almost no counter space. This cart solves that issue well.Except for the wheels which screw-on, there is no assembly which is great because I am terrible with assembling mechanical things. Watch your fingers though when fastening the catch as it is strong. Push down on the drawer and the catch loops right over.A solid purchase and my longest Amazon review in my 24+ years as an Amazon customer; in the summer of 1998 Amazon just sold books!I was looking for a butchers block/utility cart but for a tiny space and needed it to be sturdy enough to use as a counter to prep food. I was really worried about wobbly-ness and based on reviews this looked perfect! It’s beautiful- the two tiered under storage is great for small kitchen appliances and can hold a heavy kitchen aid mixer. The bamboo counter is heavy so when I cut vegetables on it (with a cutting board in place! I don’t wanna mess up the beautiful wood) it doesn’t wobble and the wheel locks keep the cart in place. I love that I can disassemble it for storage/moving as well and I highly recommend it though I mostly speak for people who have a small space and need extra counter space or a cart indoors! It's my 4th butcher block cart from this company. So obviously I really like them ! Amazon is so amazing because the price was $40 less, & the free shipping saved me another $38 , I mean wow ! I had to settle for a black frame instead of espresso.. honestly I doubt anyone will notice ! They are so well shipped & couldn't be easier to pull together. The hardest part is getting them out of the well packed box !The unit itself is about what I expected. It's a bit shaky when unfolded and locked, but that's normal for this sort of thing. I got the butcher block top and it is nice and heavy as one would expect a butcher block to be, despite the fact it is hollow. Also I felt that the butcher block top would eliminate dents and dings that a metal top tends to have. My unit arrived in perfect condition. The main thing it falls short on is the wheels. They seem to be cheap hard plastic types. This causes the cart to slip all over the place, even with two of the wheels locked. It also makes it harder to get into place when folded up. It's already heavy on one side since the top folds over to one side instead of in the middle. A design with the top in the middle when folded would have been much better. Anyway, the slick plastic wheels makes it tend to slip out from under the unit when it is folded since they have no grip to the floor. I ended up letting it lay on one side instead upright on it's wheels. All in all, IMO the wheels supplied with the unit are totally unfit for the application so I decided to change them with polyurethane, non-skid ones ($20 for 4. 2 locking & 2 non-locking). I ordered a set with the same diameter threaded post (1/2") and dual-locking action. That means that, when locked, they not only won't roll but they won't spin either. Unfortunately, the thread pitch was wrong so they did not just screw in. Rather than search for others and send them back (I hate sending things back), I decided to re-thread the holes on the cart to fit the new wheel posts. That worked fine and now I have wheels that grip the floor and don't slide around. They also make the cart much quieter when it's being moved and it stands upright on it's wheels when folded. Though still severely tilts to one side.Next I'm going to look at re-designing the cart to have the top fold into the middle. Either that or make wheels that fold up in the hallow part of the top when the cart is in use, to unfold to the floor when the unit itself is folded up. Thereby supporting the top for rolling into storage. Yeah, I know, I can't leave well enough alone. You should see my "smart" fully motorized combination spice rack and multi-flavor toothpick dispenser! It's exactly what I wanted. I need more counter space and shelf space to can. This gets everything off the floor and on wheels so I can move it out of the way much easier. When I'm not using it, but not ready to put it away yet, my canner sits on the middle shelf with plenty of room and a box of jars can sit on the bottom shelf and my produce can sit on top in baskets while waiting to be canned. When canning season is over the whole thing can be folded up and put away.I've been buying Origami for years and have never been disappointed with the design, construction or ease of assembly of the products. This is the first time I've purchased this brand through Amazon and saved a substantial amount on a similar unit from a different distributor. Totally satisfied with this purchase.I love the ease of putting on the rollers and you are done! My husband recently had a major surgery and will be on a feeding tube for some time, possibly forever. Instead of having all of the daily supplies on my counter (which I originally was doing), I decided to make a “care cart” and that way when I was done with his meds and feeding , I could just roll it out of the way. This way our home is still our home without it looking like a hospital. This cart is awesome. I added some black shelf liner and I was done! Very sturdy and good looking shelf cart.Love this cart. Easy to assemble...did it by myself. Very sturdy. Keep countertop oven on the top and other small appliances on the other 2 shelves. By using this I now have open counter space. Love it!Good, sturdy, attractive trolley. Good solid top. Folds easily. Large wheels make suitable for outdoor use. Highly recommended.Nearly one year in use..and my missus uses it everyday...good solid ,good looking piece of kit..If u don't have one get oneCan't say enough good things about this cart. I initially purxhased this cart as a way to add more counter space and to store my very large microwave. This cart offered a solution for both and with an extra shelf for additional storage as well. The butchers block is smooth and even, good quality. The cart itself is sturdy and capable of bearing heavier items. All of this and for a VERY REASONABLE price. Absolutely no complaints!Item arrived in perfect condition. I’m using the cart as a permanent extension to my counter space. I’ve oiled the butcher block with food-grade mineral oil already.Casters were easy to screw in but this is a robust and heavy unit to wrangle (at least for a middle-aged woman) until you get it on its feet.Like it a lot and hope to get many years’ use from it.Brought home and was excited as soon as I seen the heavy butcher block top. The best part -minimal assembly required, just screw in the 4 wheels. I was just about to attach the 4th and last wheel - and it would not screw in, Quick check, and noted the leg hole had not been bough out - there was NO thread to accept the wheel. Called Origami customer support, and was told that for the first 3 months Amazon "looked after things", logged onto the Amazon site - found out how to return things - FANTASTIC, just print out a label and send it back! Initially I asked for a refund, but though about it, and the quality of the cart - and will just return for another one. Bummed out to find that they are short on stock - so it will not be delivered until February - this time will allow me to move a china cabinet to make room for the cart - as it is about an inch to wide. If the wheels attach on my new cart - I will publish a 5 star review. Looking forward to that time!
