Nice to pop in the microwave and strip that hair away (if you can handle it). The wax takes a lot longer to melt than what is on the directions (my microwave is on full power). I’m no expert AT ALL, however with my limited knowledge I find this is the most user friendly product to get rid of my bikini hairs. It’s very messy and gets stuck to everything, but I guess that’s just user error lol don’t make a mess and you won’t have to worry about it.DO NOT LET THIS DRY ON YOU … trust me …. You will be in pain! The hardest part is knowing when to rip it off, whatever you do don’t let it dry fully! If you aren’t used to at home wax this might not be the best to learn with but if you’re seasoned it’s AMAZING (when you get the hang of it) way less painful because you pull it off while the wax is still warm on your skin, love it!I’ve been using this brands since it was recommended to me by my beautician decades ago. Won’t use anything else!It was very difficult at first because the wax was very hot from heating it in the microwave. It was very easy to remove the hairs after numerous of times once you get a hang of it.Not as good as Sally Hansen microwaveable wax for eyebrows, lips and face. I got excited when I saw that the color was a cloudy amber b/c in my experience, those waxes are best for the face. However, after heating this and trying to use it, it was simply not effective at removing hair. It was thin, MESSY, (hold a paper plate under your face as you use it if using it on your face), and it left way more hair behind than Sally Hansen. Not sure why companies change their formulas. There was a brand I LOVED called Surgi-Wax. I loved that brand enough to write directly to them to thank them for having such a good wax for removing facial hair. Well, they changed it to that green crap. I think companies might change formulas b/c too many people complain about pain and so companies work to tone down the pain factor but in doing so, they render the wax ineffective or just plain MESSY and a pain in the ass. I'm telling you. After not using Sally Hanson for a while and then going back to it, I could NOT believe just how FAST and effective Sally Hanson was compared to these alternatives I sometimes try in effort to save money. I've come up with a regimen too to reduce breakouts. If I have to tweeze what Gigi calls the "Inevitable leftover hairs" that Sally Hansen does NOT seem to leave behind, I increase my risk for breakouts. Here is my acne-reducing regimen surrounding facial waxing:1. Exfoliate frequently and use an exfoliation product especially BEFORE the day you plan to wax. If you are fortunate enough to get prescription Retin-A, that is even BETTER. (Just remember to wear sunscreen). Exfoliate LIGHTLY with a dry loofa if you use Retin-A. Try to reduce the amount of soaps you use. Choose a good one for your type of skin and then afterwards, depending on your skin and the weather outside, use an oil like jojoba oil (just a drop). Doing this even just once after your before bed wash is good. If your skin feels tight at all, you have dry skin. Jojoba oil is chemically similar to skin's natural oils so it will prevent your skin from overproducing oil.2. The day of your waxing, you need to reduce bacteria on your face as much as possible. Speaking of which, PLEASE never touch your face/eyes with unwashed hands ever. You'll notice a reduction in both breakouts and the common cold. To prevent infection, I use a wash like Hibiclens. It is a soap that nurses suggest one uses on their body before and after surgery. It's been around for ages. It is kind of drying but for just before a waxing, that's ok. There are other surgical prep washes you might find that will do the trick too.3. A word about Gigi's pre-epilation oil. I plan to try it with a Sally Hansen wax before I review that product too. Perhaps it was that darn oil that rendered the wax ineffective..who knows.4. Once your wax is hot enough to use but not too hot, use baby powder to lightly powder the areas you want to wax. BOY did I learn how much more effective waxes are when I started using powder. It also helps those of us with crappy vision tell where we need to wax, where we haven't waxed yet.5. Apply the hot wax in SMALL patches down the direction of the hair growth. I tend to have peach fuzz everywhere so I start a patch on the left side of my face, then do one far away on the right of my face. As they dry, I pull the skin taut and rip up (in the opposite direction of the hair growth). The upper lip for me is the most painful so I do even smaller patches there.6. Once you are all done waxing, you may come up with your own regimen as with all the steps of course. Here's what I do. I first use that Azule oil on my face to remove the wax. Not so much that I am a big believer in it's claim that it slows the return of hair growth but HELL, it came with it..may as well use it up. I use a cotton round to apply the azule oil to loosen any remainder wax and then I get that warm water running to emulsify and further remove the wax. While my face is still warm and damp, I take the tiniest drops of Tea Tree Oil (I've tried both straight Tea Tree oil and the kind that is mixed with mineral oil and they are both good..the diluted one does burn a bit less) and rub that all over my face. I then take in that cool feeling for a bit and then wash with either a light benzoil peroxide wash, pat my face dry and quickly apply my drop of jojoba oil or I use witch hazel. What you use after a wax is kind of important. You want to keep it gentle. That is why you want all your exfoliation to be done before waxing. After your wax and wash, I read that it's important to use a light moisturizer such as jojoba oil. Even witch hazel has some moisturizing properties. For the rest of the day, and perhaps the next day, keep your facial cleansing simple. Witch Hazel is good. After a shower (I sometimes just use warm water only on my face), follow with jojoba oil, especially during the winter. I saw dramatic improvement once i stopped expensive neutragena salicylic acid products and stuck with jojoba oil. Then I saw even more dramatic improvement when I was fortunate enough to get Retin-A which i use sparingly..thinest layer once a week at the most. I just hope that I have helped someone out there so that they don't have to go through the many years I did to get to this point. If I forgot anything, I will post an edit if possible. Sorry for being so wordy. There is a brand called No-Tweeze that comes in a yellow and white packaging (similar to Gigi) that is just as good as Sally Hansen Eyebrow, Face and Lip Wax but you have to heat No-Tweeze using a warmer. I use a mug warmer. I'm leaving the link below my review for Sally Hansen for Eyebrow, Lip, and Face wax (Don't get the other waxes by Sally Hansen because they are that green or purple kind that seem to not work as well) I am also leaving a link for the No-Tweeze brand that is good but can't be microwaved since it is in a metal tin.http://www.amazon.com/no-tweeze-Classic-Remover-Wax-Ounce/dp/B00099I66M/ref=sr_1_2?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1441554577&sr=1-2&keywords=no-tweeze+hair+remover+waxhttp://www.amazon.com/Sally-Hansen-Eyebrow-Microwaveable-Extrasoothe/dp/B000AA5VE0/ref=sr_1_1?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1441554517&sr=1-1&keywords=sally+hansen+eyebrow+face+%26+lip+waxAs a previous esthetician this is one of the products that we used in spas. If you are trained to know how to use a wax safely then this is the best. If not, then please don’t buy it.I don’t have time to run and get my eyebrows done and I actually like this. I had to go over twice to really get the hairs but it didn’t hurt. It’s a great wax gets all the hair there is another type of wax in this brand called bikini wax or something for sensitive skin it doesn’t come off with strings or anything neither does it dry it’s a mess but for this 10/10I've been using GiGi products for some time now and this last order was made very difficult for me because I was after the WAX and couldn't find it listed. I finally had to order the "honee" and absoulutely hate it! First of all you need strips to remove the "honee" and that wasn't mentioned or included in the order. Also this product is sticky, messy and took a layer of skin off which left me with bloody patches and a rash on my face. I contacted the seller and haven't yet received a reply. I would still be happy to purchase the microwave WAX but the "honee" should be left to the professionals. One last thing, none of the instructions were written in English. What's that about? It is good but IT IS BEST WITH COTTON STRIPS. without them you will have bad rewiev saying it is falling off with bits and doesnt remove most of the hair. Also remember to pull the strip oposite direction of hair growth. Also best to microwave for about 25s only if use for eyebrow or upper lip hair removal.I like the product - My daughter says it’s very expensiveCame quick and it’s easy to useThe best
