Having read MANY reviews on MANY kitchen islands, I know all the major complaints of many different islands made by a number of different importers, and this brand had by far the FEWEST bad reviews. So, we decided to take a chance. I am pleasantly surprised that I have none of the complaints registered by some other reviewers. The main complaints were these:1. Difficult to put together - NOT AT ALL. I assembled this from start to finish (including the unpacking time) in about 2+ hours. The instructions were very easy to follow (if you read them carefully first) and the accompanying pictures for assembly were very accurate.2. Missing parts - NONE. I unpacked and checked off all parts before beginning assembly, and there were no missing or broken parts.3. Plastic camlocks - NOT SO. The camlocks (the same ones you find in all IKEA assemblies) were metal and all of them fit perfectly with no issues.4. Bad odor - NO ODOR AT ALL. The pieces were nicely finished and had no odor of any kind. We assembled it and began using it in the kitchen immediately.5. Thinly laminated top - SOLID WOOD. Not a laminated top, but a solid butcherblock style top. Not quite as think as I would prefer, but exactly as pictured.I cannot think of any other complaint that was prevalent, but all parts fit properly, all pre-drilled holes for cams, screws, and dowels were drilled perfectly and lined up without any adjustments. I do think that the casters should be attached with more substantial screws or bolts, but we set this island up without using the casters, and it is more stable and looks nicer and more permanent.The drawers function on the tracks well (the drawer bottoms could be a little thicker if you want to put anything heavy in them), and the cabinet doors line up very nicely and shut well, held shut with magnets. There are 3 different adjustment heights for each of the shelves in the 3 storage cabinets.We are extremely pleased with this product and expect it to last for some time, in spite of the fact that it is not an expensive piece of furniture.My only complaint is that the seller, O.J. Commerce, addressed the boxes to the right street address, but the wrong CITY. We had to call UPS and have them go to the house where they delivered it and retrieve it and deliver it to us the next day. It was definitely the fault of O.J. Commerce, not Amazon (correct city was on the order confirmation). When we contacted O.J. Commerce to tell them about the problem, we got no reply. I would question the customer service of O.J. Commerce, but I'm sure that Amazon would have made good if we would have had any further problem.
