I LOVE my mug. I bought it for myself as an indulgence. I don't think anyone in the 1st world needs more mugs, but this one is just so simple, cheerful, and happy, that it makes me smile every time I look at it. I love the way the graphic fills up the entire side of the mug. It is not too small and it is perfectly balanced against the size of the mug. I love that the graphic is on both sides of the mug, so if you are a lefty or righty, you will always see the happy image, which is why you bought the mug in the first place, to see the words that remind you of how it's the simple things in life that we cherish that makes life good. For those of us who are disabled or infirm and a good day is when you can sew a loop on a handtowel to make it easier to hang, this mug is life-affirming. Thanks to the artist for the sweet image which is not too cloyingly sentimental but strikes just the right chord of cheerfulness, perfect in its simplicity. It's not the kind of thing one would ever get tired of.As for its functionality, I have found it to be a good size for a small cup of coffee with lots of milk or for a decent suze cup of tea. It is not your oversized mug where your drink is first too hot to drink and then by the time you get to the end of it it's cold. The liquid cools off nice and evenly so that you can have your tea all at once. (I'm not a sipper.) I haven't put it in the microwave yet and I am not going to put it in the dishwasher, because I don't want to take any chances on the graphics coming off, even over time.
